View the Bradley Beach spitting barrels on Christmas Eve morn!

Twas the week before Christmas and  throughout  the regions
the surfers were chillin',   dreaming of  better  seasons
The Lake windswell was pumpin',  waves ready to go
But alas, what arrived, but a nasty ice floe.

"It's pretty tough to surf on ice", said one to another,
"I think it's time to visit my brother"

"I know, it ain't Del Mar" , said Craig to the surfer,
"But I think I'll  return to  Jersey and Belmar."

"Atlantic Ocean, hurricane swell,
there's gotta be waves, I can just tell..."

So off to Wall Street doth Craig go,
with wetsuits, gloves, wax, and leashes in tow.

"We'll have a fine session on Thursday, I know.
Team Guido will meet me, Queleudian will even go!"

Home for the holidays from California
I have a feeling the surf won't be like in Leucadia,

Off to  Highlands and the Hook do we travel
Point breaks we see and  jetties we  pass

The setups made me marvel,
but for the waves, other chances  to surf I will amass.

 Up to the ocean in the the town called Bradley 
we arrive at the house on the street up on Brinley,

Up the stairs and left near the transom,
I see  jolly  surfers  named Doug and Mark Sisom!

And next to the fish tank, Mark's beautiful wife,
and little Morgan the baby , Mark's love of his life.

 

Now off to Kelly's where m@rk won a contest
the calamari was delicious, the steak was the best,

We drank down Bass Ale, the newsgroup we roasted,
Surfing we talked, Lemming and Surfgeo we toasted.

Now it was dark, the waves getting bigger,
m@rk's quiver awaits, but my Jersey friends shiver.

Off to the water's edge we go,
more alt.surfers, almost all Team Guido.

Silver bowl from Mexico we find,
catch a little buzz, we left nothing behind.

New Jersey is pretty strict, you see,
police abound, this isn't San Clemente!

Now to a pub with a band that was playin'
More alt.surfers to meet, like m@rk was sayin'
I met Mike C and SurfSargent and talked surfing  a while
They're on what they're doing, 
m@rk says they've got style

Another five beers, maybe six, maybe more, 
I was on vacation, no-one kept score. 
 

Yuppies discussed,  the "project" revealed,
I'm willing to  help, I've not concealed,
Now back at the surfhouse on Brinley we met,
I crashed on the pullout, my alarm already set. 

 And back to Chicago, and some sad news to hear, 
but Christmas to celebrate, all in good cheer!
